Thermal grease can be used on the rear side of the heatsink which has no thermal pad or grease. It will improve the heat dispatch of your processor.

One tube has enough to use on say 4 cpu's I am building a new sli system with 2 Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 1000GB Hard Drives and used this paste to test and see how it does.If it does not work out well I would rather order some from Intel the Dow Corning gray paste they use is awesome to say the least, I have it on all my 6 pc's in a home lan with one box as a unix server and all have been cleaned of old grease and added the one from Intel IT IS gray in color and is a paste type, what makes this work better than others is that when you look at a flat surface by eye it looks super flat but look at it under a high powered microscope and it's anything but flat! this paste from Intel AFTER THE CPU WARMS UP it fills in all the tiny imperfections on both the cpu and heat sink and then turns somewhat harder and just works 100%.I wish tiger would get some of that stuff so I can buy it from them rather than Intel.hth.
